INTERVIEWS

To keep my creativity alive, I constantly challenge myself by stepping out of my comfort zone. I find that when I’m faced with new challenges, it encourages me to think differently and push the boundaries of my creativity. By embracing unfamiliar experiences, I can discover fresh perspectives and innovative solutions that keep my work exciting and dynamic.

Navigating the film industry, particularly as a woman, also presented its own set of hurdles. Gender bias and stereotypes can still be pervasive in the industry, making it harder for female filmmakers to gain recognition and opportunities. Overcoming these barriers required perseverance and a willingness to push back against outdated norms and expectations.

There are so many issues women deal with that I can portray through film. By highlighting these challenges and triumphs, I aim to create a space for conversation, empathy, and progress. Whether it’s exploring themes of empowerment, resilience, or breaking down societal barriers, my goal is to use the power of film to shed light on the myriad of experiences women face and to inspire meaningful change.
